About School
Newton Kindergarten, Nursery and Primary School was established on the 12th of March, 2001. Newton Junior Secondary School came into existence on 15th September, 2004. Newton Senior Secondary School was founded on 10th September, 2007. Newton Schools is an autonomous private institution with the general function of providing liberal academic education; equipping students with the knowledge and skills required for self improvement and excellence in both internal and externalexaminations.
Vision and Mission
The word "NEWTON" does not represent any religion organization or institution. It is the name of a scientist, a great physicist and Mathematician. He propounded many theories and laws. Some of the laws are as follows:
Newton's 1st law of motion:
Every object' continues in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless acted upon by an external force.
Newton 2nd taw of motion:
The rate of change of momentum is proportional to the impressed force and takes place in the direction of that force
Newton's 3rd law of motion:
Action and reaction are equal and opposite or To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Hence, Newton school is built after this great scientist and philosopher who was intelligent, diligent, committed and dedicated to his choice of learning in life. Likewise, the proprietor of Newton schools is a man with vision, a man with inspiration to lead our young ones to greatness. The mission is being accomplished through Newton schools, Iwo.
